Ford Focus has a 1.0-liter engine and 1.5 liter 3-cylinder EcoBoost that can produce 85 PS (83 hp) to 182 ps (180 hp). There are also 1.5 liters and 2.0-liter EcoBlue diesel engine options that have a power range of 95 PS (93 hp) to 150 PS (148 hp). All power is channeled to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission and an 8-speed automatic.
The interesting side to the EcoBoost petrol engine used in the Ford Focus lies in its cylinder technology which can be inactive when driving in constant conditions. Claimed by Ford, the efficiency gained from each engine choice ranges from 10% better than the previous generation.
